Bridal Alterations and Repairs
|
Have you lost weight before your big day? |
|
Is your dress a sample or a ‘worn once’ and needs altering? |
|
Have you inherited your dress and need it remodelled? |
|
Does the mother of the bride, or bridesmaids, need a nip and a tuck? |
|
Are the groom and the best man too loose or tight in their Highland Dress, or Top and Tails? |
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then Pegs specialise in Alterations and Repairs to Bridal Gowns and Couture Clothing and have many years experience to draw from, so you can be rest assured that your designer, bespoke and heirloom garments are in safe hands with Pegs.
Wedding wear comes in all shapes and sizes and often in very different proportions to your individual body shape. Quite often the bodice of the dress is too large but the waist perfect; hems may also be a few inches too long, making it impossible for you to walk.
It may be you've found your perfect dress but it's a size too small, or the dress you bought last year will no longer zip up. These are all common problems when buying any wedding outfit. At Pegs we work with you to produce a perfect fit, whether it’s downsizing your dress or re-styling a dress which is too small.
Ideally we like to book your first dress fitting six weeks before the date of your wedding and four weeks for your Bridal Party. One or two fittings are normally enough to achieve the perfect fit although an additional fitting may be needed in certain circumstances.
Many brides prefer to store their dress at Pegs until a few days before the wedding, with all dresses steamed the morning of collection; this incurs a small additional charge.
Please contact us today as we will be more than happy to discuss all your Bridal Repair and Alteration requirements.
